چکیده
Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease with veterinary, public health, and economic implications. The study aimed to estimate the seroprevalence of Brucella spp. among ruminants in Rafha, Saudi Arabia during January October 2022 identify camel strains based on glycosyltransferase gene sequence. Sera (n=1012) were collected from non-vaccinated sheep, goats, camels cattle different sex, age breed randomly abattoirs investigate circulating brucella antibodies using RBPT. One hundred eighteen sera (9.7%) reactive for IgG immunoglobulins, higher percentages detected sheep (11.4%), females (13.3%), adults (10.7%), naieme (13.9%). Significant correlation between animal species (0.095), (0.077) was found, while strong sex observed. Glycosyltransferase amplified sequenced (n=6). Camel displayed multiple nucleotide substitutions deletions, identity local 96.2-100%. Phylogenetic analysis showed that clustered two groups, Rafha one group together other strains. Further investigation needed determine prevalence bacteria farm animals involved improve preventive measures strategies adopted control.

Sera from 2,630 apparently normal adult camels (Camelus dromedarius) raised in central Saudi Arabia (Riyadh and Al-Kharj cities) were examined serologically by the Rose Bengal and standard United States of America Brucella plate agglutination tests. The overall seroprevalence of brucellosis in the restricted populations of tested camels was 8%. The seroprevalence of brucellosis among camels rai...
